Opening Day

The launch event yesterday was a triumph and, as you say, it was great to see the works hanging together at last. The tree in the grounds is really striking and making a virtue of necessity has really paid dividends. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tim for the words of support I am very please you enjoyed the work. Its hard to really determine how the work looks until it is hanging in the exhibition space, but in this case the work looked very well.
DeleteIt was a great opening on Saturday. The work looked good, perhaps especially the tree sculpture. My criticism would be of the venue itself. No publicity outside the building or in the foyer to direct punters in (or outside to the tree sculpture), and peanuts for lunch.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the integration / juxtaposition of the pieces indoors to the permanent bits.
The tree sculpture will certainly make me come back to the area (and as a local resident, I'm ashamed to say I'd never been before!) - I'm intrigued to see the way it changes and intergrates into the natural landscape over time.
